"More and more, we are fish swimming in the same waters. We evolve in shapes and colors, as do our ways of creating… Through perseverance and self-improvement, we grow, develop, and die—never seeking to shine in the earth or sky, but simply making, simply wanting to materialize what we feel and dream.
The system pushes us toward different perspectives… and let’s not even mention the bureaucratic race we’ve subjected ourselves to. More than talent is needed to swim from the sea to the river, like the salmon…
But this is the path we chose as we grew after being born. Every human being is born an artist… then stops dreaming in colors. Imagine life on earth without art.
For this piece, I used my daughter’s drawings. She asked me to when I told her what I wanted to paint. So, as a father, I agreed—leaving her art within the museum."
