"Daniel remembers that the city is the migrant's temple. In a spatial exchange, those who migrate renounce something in pursuit of a clear objective: city for city, leaving behind fragments of soul and pieces of body in each one.
In Quilmes, his other story began. Quilmes transformed from foreign to his own, from dream to reality, from expectation to belonging. A land of Indigenous rebellion, of soccer and beer, Quilmes takes shape and reshapes itself in the whimsical figures that have now become recurrent in Daniel’s work.
A metaphorical scene that illustrates the historical-local landscape, his belonging to a not-so-new home, and, as always, a subtle yet pointed social satire."
